Soccer Stars

Soccer Stars is a Saturday morning fun sporting activity for all children in the local area, aged 5-11 years, running from 9.30 - 10.30am.

We help children to learn football skills and enjoy playing games in a supportive environment. Whilst competition is a key part of playing sport we aim to help children understand how to lose as well as win, and that the way we treat others is equally as important as winning.

Our approach is flexible and we will ensure that sessions are adapted to the needs and ability of the children.

As Head Coach, Pete Shears has been involved in professional Sports Coaching for 10 years and brings a wealth of experience from running Saturday clubs, school sessions, holiday programmes, centre of excellence sessions and disability programmes.

Catherine Adams, Children and Families Worker for St Paul’s Church, is also on the team. A number of other assistants will support the sessions and they are all CRB checked via St Paul's church and work under Pete's guidance and leadership.

A term normally consists of 6 weeks and costs £18.00. Cheques, made payable to Peter Shears, should be sent to Peter Shears, Soccer Stars Club, c/o St Pauls Church, Poyle Road, Tongham GU10 1DS.
