Our
Vision We have seen continued growth over the last few years but long to see more, both growth in numbers and depth of faith.
We are committed to proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ and in doing
so want to draw people into faith, journeying with them as we grow together
in our understanding and learn how to apply our faith to our daily lives.
We are committed to:
1. Praying regularly for the mission and
ministry of St Paul’s
2. Encouraging and supporting the each other
as we work to develop the vision of the church
3. Serving and seeking to be active in the
life of the church
4. Giving prayerfully to St Paul’s to enable our ministry
to continue
5. Godly living a faithful and holy life so that others may
see the grace of God
Our plans
To
grow our children's work across all-ages by building firm
foundations
To
employ a full-time Children &
Families Worker
To
establish and staff a permanent church
office
To continue to improve Old School
so that it is a warm, welcoming, flexible
and accessible building for use by the church and the wider community
To continue to provide opportunities for people of all ages, young
and old, newborn and those near the end
of their lives, to discover the good news of Jesus Christ. This means
that we need to be constantly
evaluating all we do as a church and ask the question – is this helping
people find faith in Christ and grow
as a Christian?
Consider how we use our space in church. We are currently
restricted in how we can use the church in relation to our children’s
work, our new all-age service, our work with the local school, baptism, weddings
and funerals, and our expanded worship group. We need to explore how we can
reorder the church to make it fit for worship in the 21st century.
Give sacrifically. 2010 was difficult financially for the
church – instead of the finances growing, they shrank which meant that
we spent more than we brought in just to maintain all we were doing. The challenge
is for us to respond so that we can fulfil our ministry and mission of making
Christ known. Will you help support the work of the church?
