Fellowship Lunch

The church runs a lunch club for retired people in the village on the third Tuesday of every month (but not August).

For a very reasonable £4 per head, we provide – for example – soup, bread from the local bakery, cheese and biscuits and fruit, followed by tea or coffee, and in warmer months a ploughman’s lunch or quiche and salad followed by cake, tea or coffee. We always have a free raffle afterwards, so please feel free to bring along a small prize. The idea is for people in the village to get to know each other. You do not have to attend church to come for lunch – everyone is welcome. The December ‘do’ is always fun, as we sing Christmas Carols and eat fish (or sausage) and chips from the local ‘chippy’. The cost has to be more for that one … And we also eat the odd mince pie or two …!

If you would like to join us, it’s every third Tuesday in the Old School Hall, Poyle Road. The team are happy to welcome anyone who comes along. The event starts at 12.30,so make sure you arrive by 12.20 to be sure of a seat!

Please note the December lunch needs to be pre-ordered - please contact us for more information.
